Our quality-control process
Stage 1: Briefing
At the start of each project, we determine your exact requirements, which involves considering important factors such as the target audience, the purpose of the translation and the deadline.
Stage 2: Translator selection
Based on the type of text, the subject matter and the required language combination, we select the most suitably qualified and experienced translator (or team of translators) for the job.
Stage 3: Independent proofreading
In addition to the translation being carefully checked by the original translator, an independent proofreader meticulously reviews the accuracy of the target text and makes any necessary improvements to the overall style and readability.
Stage 4: Evaluation of proofreader changes
If necessary, the proofreader and the original translator discuss any changes that were made in stage 3, before deciding on the final 'polished' version.
If desktop publishing, typesetting or web formatting is required (e.g. for brochures or websites), the following stage is performed in addition…
Stage 5: Layout and display check
The proofreader checks that the translated sections have been correctly incorporated into the final document or webpage and makes sure that everything displays correctly before the texts are published or printed.
For added peace of mind, all of our translations come with a quality guarantee: in the unlikely event that you are not 100% satisfied with a translation that we have provided, we promise to rework it free of charge until you are completely happy.
